Alaska Airlines (AS)

Alaska Airlines is the fifth-largest US airline and the dominant carrier on the West Coast and along the Pacific Northwest-to-Alaska corridor. The airline acquired Virgin America in 2018, which gave it a much stronger California footprint, and is in the process of integrating Hawaiian Airlines following its 2024 acquisition. Alaska joined oneworld in 2021, which connects its mileage program and lounges to American, British Airways, Qantas, Japan Airlines, and the rest of the alliance. The carrier operates an almost-entirely Boeing 737 mainline fleet plus a regional Embraer E175 operation under the Horizon Air and SkyWest Alaska Skywest brands. With the Hawaiian acquisition, the combined group also operates Airbus A321neos and Hawaiian's widebody fleet for trans-Pacific flying. Alaska is consistently ranked highly for operational reliability and customer service among full-service US airlines.
